Chicken Pilau

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice

  • 500g chicken cut in small cubes

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 fresh tomatoes

  • salt (according to taste)

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ½ tsp cumin powder

  • ½ tsp coriander powder

  • 2-3 potatoes cut in small cubes

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Soak rice in water for half an hour
     

  2. In a pan heat up some oil, add the chopped onions to it and let the onions fry for few seconds and then add chicken and ginger garlic paste and fry till all the water dries out.
     

  3. Blend the tomatoes and add to the pan along with Salt, pepper, cumin powder and coriander powder and cook for 10 minutes.
     

  4. Once the mixture is cooked add the potatoes and half a cup of water and cook for 5 minutes.
     

  5. Add the soaked rice without the water, cook for 5 minutes and then leave the pan covered for 10 minutes.
